RR hen I think may be egg bound

Hen sits most of the time. Her vent is of normal size and is clear, up to the end of my little finger. She eats and drinks well. the bottom half of her body seems kind of full and hard.

    Any thoughts?

Hey, Kristen. You may want to look around here:

Otherwise, my first thought was, is she losing feathers?

The hen is likely to be "broody". With a couple of my hens, this lasts about 3 weeks then they're fine again. They're thinking they have to sit on eggs to hatch them, even though there may be no eggs in the nest at the time. During their broody time, they sit in the nesting box all day and night. I have to pick them up and put them outside the coop just so they will eat and drink. Some breeds are more likely to become broody, particularly if they're known as "good sitters". I have a Cochin and a Wyandotte that generally become broody every 3 months or so.
