I havn't though much about it but I would say;

The Hunt For Red October
Crimson Tide
Sgt. York
Big Jake
Mcclintock
The Bridge over The River Kyaw(sp)
The Magnificent Seven
Thunder Road
I guess I could come up with a hundred, but at least the list is started

Nat, I like all of yours a lot! Great minds think alike?

I also liked "Patriot Games" but how about Peter Sellers in "Being There" and "The Magic Christian?"

Let's here it for "Buckaroo Banzai and His Adventures Across the Eighth Dimension" staring Peter Weller!

Its a Mad Mad World
Blazing Saddles
The Gods Must be Crazy (I and II)
The Seven Samurai with Toshiro Mifiune
Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee
China Town
Saving Private Ryan
The Longest Day
Apollo 13

The above are not in any ranked order.
It is hard to just name a few.

Here is my vote for the worst SCI FI flic ever screened...

"Mission Mars"

"Thunder Road" -- that is an oldie! I like the song much better than the movie.

Approaching senility makes recall of favorites difficult.

There are two or three; perhaps by tommorrow the names will surface.

Since people have different tastes in what they like, such a list would have no end, Nat. I, too, liked all the ones you listed, and of course, what I like changed as my age increased.

The first time I saw them, when they were new movies, I thought Song of the South was a great movie, and even liked Bambi.

The only two I can remember that I thought were good enough that I sat through them twice in the movie theater was The Ten Commandments and The Guns of Navarone.

In slightly more recent times, Support Your Local Sheriff was one I thoroughly enjoyed, and then Support Your Local Gunfighter was pretty good, too.

Smokey and the Bandit (the first one only)
Does "Band of Brothers" count as a movie?
Saving Private Ryan
Goonies (have no idea why, it just tickles me)
Blazing Saddles
Two Mules for Sister Sara
Tombstone
Young Guns (both)
Stroker Ace
Where the Red fern Grows

Ok, Band of Brothers, the HBO series I thought was really good. I got the book by Stephen Ambrose, it was great reading as well.
