We know there is a resident breeding population of bobcats on or near our property or both. Moma cats have been seen crossing the section line from our property to a neighbors with kittens in tow.

Recently we have seen a juvenile (about 3/4 size) coming to one of the back yard ponds in broad daylight (3 sightings.) Typically by the time you can pick up the binocam and turn it on the cat has walked closer but is hidden from view by the dam. This is the third series of close sightings, widely separated in time and hundreds of yards apart and different sized cats so they are likely not the same animal, unless it grows and shrinks.

I'm not so used to seing much of bobcats in the middle of the day as around twilight. If they get so thick as to scare away my back yard quail, or worse) I may have to "intervene."

Hopefully if it continues I can get some pix.
