We have done most of our fencing ourselves in the past.
We moved not long ago and it is time to start over again.

This time we are having someone build the fence and everytime we do this it is hard to know what type fence to use for the horses.

In the past we have had woven , high tensile, some electric tape for a temporary fence that turned out to be used for 4 years.
This time we are thinking about Bekaert. The person that we talked to gave us a good price and we looked at some he had installed about three years ago.
It seemed like the t posts were not close enought. The fence looked great and it had even had a large tree fall on it and it was still up, only bent.

I can't remember how far he placed these posts but the corners where installed with the hydrolics.

We also have looked at the different Ramm fencing and if we do a hot fence then we have to keep the weeds cut down.

We have 10 acres and our horse population changes.
One of our mares is in foal due next spring.

If anyone can give me in put on this type of fence please do.
The price quoted is 4.50 per ft material and labor.

We thought that was a good price.
One thing about having horses and doing fencing it seems like when you go to sell your place the fence does not get you any more money.
We don't plan on moving again but just a thought about spending for someone else to do the work.

Thanks,
travis
