    If you are able and like wood heat by all means go for it. If you decide at some point you aren't up to the labor it isn't too tough to go corn or pellet which is easier and more convenient and can have thermostat control. I don't like to share my O2 with a stove so I like direct vent but properly used a correctly controlled and vented pellet or corn stove is fine.

    If you do decide to go with wood, there was a Golden Flue installed about 20 yrs. ago in the house where I reside. It has worked out pretty good and seems to be holding up well. I have no idea how much it cost, so that may be a factor.
    They put in an air filled bladder and pump a special cement around it. Pretty slick.
