The remote door opener for my GMC Savanna Pro van has been on the blink. Some days they will not unlock the doors then other days they work fine. I have two remotes both with new batteries. I don't know if there is a sending unit that might be failing or what. Van is just out of warrenty. Anyone have any suggestions?
How often do they fail to work? I sure don't have any answer for you, but I'm curious because we have an '01 Ford Windstar and the remotes will fail to work occasionally; less than 1 time out of a hundred probably. When it does fail, the keypad on the door still works.
The remotes failed 2 or 3 times today. They also control 3 side panals on my van, which makes it very inconvient to retreive tools. I unlocked the doors at least 10-12 times today. I really hate to bring this in for service if I can fix it myself.
