Mouse vs. Owl

Atleast I think it was an owl, I have quite a few barred owls around my place.
This is was taken in the woods behind my house after last fridays snow.

OR at least a snack. Great picture! Owls are so neat... they eat the mouse whole and then their stomach wraps the skull and larger bones up in the hide and the they regurgitate this "casting" for us to find on the ground and confuse with scat.

I had a similar set of evidence small animal tracks then a patch of disturbed snow then some bird prints then nothing. Not nearly so artistic and descriptive as your's. I was going to get a snapshot and send it to a buddy whose son is aboiuit to go Eagle scout but I will send yoiur photo instead.
