The one at Turo, NS. is about a foot the time I saw it.

I'd like to see the one on the Amazon!

OK, let me see if I got this straight: That would be a really high tide, if Egon could see the Amazon from Nova Scotia.

    Re: Camera

Well, Egon would prefer to see the Amazon Tidal Bore from a well founded boat right on site and then travel upstream to Manus or even farther.

I saw part of a program a while back where some folks were surfing on the Amazon tidal bore. That's the river, not the .com.

Do they surf that 55 foot tide in the Bay of Fundy?

    Re: Camera

I've seen a bore tide in the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet, but sure didn't see anyone surfing. I figured everyone would have sense enough to stay out of the water, but according to this site maybe not.

Gary, The reason your post of Egon't first picture didn't fare better was because you posted it upside down.

Okay, I admit I'm Byte illiterate and have problems with pictures and lots of other things as well!

I was very thankful for unsolicited help I received here and on TBN posting pictures and avatars etc.

Still have not progressed to the stage of understanding the new camera but soon you shall be inundated with photographic delights!

Been pretty slow as of late, or slower than usual. Eat and sleep is about my limit right now. Darkling clouds.

    Re: Camera

Not all areas with a large tidal swings experience tidal bores.

Here is a picture showing rafting a bore in a outboard powered raft.
