I've been on tractorbynet forums for a while, but this is my first post here.

I currently live on about 4 acres on a nice sized pond. My wife and I have a really nice veggie garden and about 1/2 acre of corn we grow every year.

I switched jobs to the other side of the Twin Cities MN and am looking at moving. I'd like to move up to a hobbie farm, or something that I could make into a hobbie farm and have goat/sheep/chickens, and grow more food crop.

What should I be looking for as far as tillable land? It looks like my budget should get me about 10-20 acres while staying within about a 45 minute drive to work each day. (I currently drive 1.5 hours)

Any pointers would be helpful.

I have a kubota bx2230 so I think I should be set for having something to plow/mow/maintain something as long as it's not too huge.
