    Removing \"orchard grass\"

Does anyone know how to remove orchard grass which is starting to infest my lawn? The lawn is (I believe) Kentucky 31 or similar. It was planted 3 years ago in what was once a corn field. The orchard grass was indentified and since it is a "grass" the typical weed and feed will not touch it. I'm thinking of purchasing a herbicidal applicator that you use to walk around and apply herbicides to each and every orchard blade by touching it with the herbicide, yuck! When you cut the grass you don't notice the orchard grass but within a few days the orchard grass grows and it is quite noticeable as it grows faster than the regular grass. Your thoughts? I thank you in advance. Stanley

    What a frustrating problem.

It's nearly impossible to get rid of in a turf lawn. Local treatment is about the only thing you can do, and that'll result in some small brown spots in the lawn.
