32\' span pole building

i have a question about building a pole barn (32' span)
can i build it with:
4x6 posts - 8' oc, 2x6 trusses - 4' oc?

and if i nail a 2x4 onto the side of the 4x6 (making a 4x8) will it be as strong as a 6x6 or at least strong enough for my building??? or would 'laminating' (with pl400 or the like) a 2x4 on to a 4x6 make it as strong?

thanks!

Truss suppliers will have all the details required for span, spacing and sizing.

Can't say as to the column sizes but there should be lots of approved standard pole barn designs out there.

I had 2 lumber companies quote on a pole barn (36x72). They do this all the time and know what is required for the local area (wind & snow loads, etc.) Both recommended 6x6 for the corner posts & 4x6 for the interior (line) posts (8 ft oc).
FWIW.

My 40'X84 is 4X6 posts and 6X6 corners. DIY pole barns did the plan and was between 8K-12K cheaper for the materials.
