Free logs

I was just out at the Farm. A neighbour donated two oak logs and one big poplar log for my sawdust mill.

He'd cut them down last year for a better line of sight from one of his deer stands.

Hey, Egon. Are you like the one who sculpts; do you see the end result in the raw wood, or will you mill and dry it for some future (as yet undecided) project?

Now I know nothing about forestry, sawmills, etc., but that looks to me like some very nice straight logs that should make some good lumber.

Makes my latest logs look like kindling. Pond number 11 is now dug and I will be milling 3 of the oaks that had to be removed. The best will give me some 12 footers.
