Keeping rabbits out of the garden

Anybody have any ideas on how I can keep rabbits out of my garden? We seem to have an abundance of rabbits around here and we've worked too hard to let it all get eaten up!

It's work, but chicken wire buried a foot into the ground all the way around should do it.

When I had a problem with cottontails in my garden, a neighbor told me to spread blood meal around the perimeter to keep them out. Of course blood meal is a fertilzer, you would need to replace it after a rain, and it sure makes the grass grow around the garden, but it did apparently work and ended the rabbit problem.
