We have a railroad flatcar bridge on our property. It is used to cross a creek that runs in front of our home. The previous owner had it installed about 20 years ago and when we had the home inspected the bridge was structurally sound. We were wondering if we should pressure wash it and seal the surface with something to help prevent rust/wear in the winter (we are in western NY). Is anyone familiar with this type of bridge? Any advice on who to contact about maintaining such a bridge? We just moved here a couple of months ago and want to keep this bridge in good shape. Replacing it will no doubt cost a lot of $$$$!
