There are other low light camera systems used with monitors I have seen (no immediate recall of site) that I liked better for less $ but for $300 bucks you won't do all that bad. I personally prefer the traditional green screen light amplification types but that is just me. There are some that work as a hand held monocular and also mount as a rifle scope in case some of the critters meet the requisite attributes to slip over the dividing line and get classified as varmints.

If I had oodles of discretionary cash I'd have a good thermal imager.
