What is the rule of thumb with pruning dwarf apple trees? Do you prune like standard, or not at all? Help!

slender spindle is a method where you establish a central trunk and remove whole branches back to the trunk. In general remove any branch that is larger than 1/3 of the diam. of the trunk(where it arises). Of course remove a branch if it is directly over another.
