I don't know what to ask for.....

I have seen this at a state park. It is a device which "locks" the lid to a metal trash can. They used it to keep bird feed. Racoons could not open it. I want to use this to keep fish feed in my barn on my land. What is it called? Where can I get one?

Are you currently experiencing problems or just anticipating them?

I kept feed in a metal trash can for years with no problems despite a healthy coon population in close proximity (barn sits on the edge of a ravine). The lid fit snugly to begin with.

Maybe an easier thing is just to locate the can so that the coons don't have anywhere to push off from. Maybe if the can were sitting on some cinder blocks?

I had a problem with racoons getting into my fish feeder. In fact, they totally destroyed it!
