Home schooling info by state?

I live in western Massachusetts and the rules about home schooling are pretty strict. I have to submit a full curriculum plan and get approval and the whole nine yards. I'm thinking strongly of moving to somewhere less stringent about this - I don't want the government interfering any more than I have to. Anyone know if Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont would be less rigid?
