I homeschool my kids and they are fine socially. I work with a homeschool program that has regular outings and events in my area. We can pick and chose what we go to. You are right, it does take a lot of work but the rewards are well worth it.

We home schooled our daughter for Kindergarten, and in the 7th grade I will resume that. We want her social skills to be good before we pull her out of the public school system in High School

Do all of you know that the young men who designed, built, maintain, and own this website and its sister sites were home schooled?

I don't know why people have issues with parents homeschooling their own kids. It's their choice to make. A lot of times it's because they don't like the curriculum, standards, or atmosphere in public schools. I've read quite a bit about homeschooling and it seems to me that a lot of times, kids get a better education and better socialization being homeschooled than they do in public schools.
