I am so disappointed! I was out in the garden the other day and noticed that my potatoes have been invaded by red ants. I pulled a few plants up and they have eaten through them. Does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry to here about the ant invaders, MaggieMay. I never personally had an attack by them but I've heard of some people using citrus oil extract or pine oil extract to deter them.
I have no idea what to do. I planted sweet corn, they were beautiful and full of biting, red fire ants. I have found fire ant dust, the least expensive seem to work best. Also, believe it or not so does Greased Lightening household cleanser.
