Does anyone know if Javelina's are dangerous animals? I heard the run wild in packs, and I just saw some pictures of them, and they don't look too friendly.
We got them all over the place here. They are just typical wild animals you leave them alone they leave you alone you go cornering one or didling with its young and they will attack and bite. Most of the packs are small 5 or 6 animals but they sometimes have several litters at a time and there could be more. All they really want to do is eat roots and grubs.
They are omnivores so they will eat small animals but are just as happy with roots. They have long tusks and when in a pack are more aggressive. Don't go trying to pet them and your going to be alright.
They may look rough, but they're not. What Jim said really is true, leave them alone and they'll return the favor. I've been really close to them a few times, and they were fine.
