How many vehicles do you own. I live in the country, and I have 3. One each for the wife and me, and 1 extra just in case 1 has to go in the shop for awhile.
Do you have vehicles in the shop often enough for a 3rd vehicle to be worth the cost of the vehicle, insurance, and maintenance? Certainly nothing wrong with that idea, but we live in town, I like parking inside the attached garage so we don't have to get out in the weather, and for just the 2 of us, 2 vehicles are actually more than adequate. If one were in the shop, my dealer would provide a rental, but we're highly unlikely to need it. So we have a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria sedan and a 2001 Ford Ranger Supercab pickup.
We used to have three but are back down to two. My husband and I each have one and then he had a Mustang but we ended up getting rid of it because it was just a big money pit.
