I moved to a different county and now have to get an emissions test for my car. I think that is so strange that it is not a state law, but a county law. Why would I need it in one county and not another?

Where is the testing done? Is it done at privately owned busineses, or is it done at county owned inspection stations?
The answer may be there. If a county commissioner owns or has an interest in an auto repair service......

I remember when it used to have to be done almost everywhere. I think most of it gone done away with because the government has imposed stricter guidelines to the auto industry. I used to hate having to wait in line for it.
