My son's program for school does home visits. He is in preschool and the teacher is required to visit my house 2 times during the school year. Any teachers out their want to help me understand this?

Home visits are to see how the child acts at home. To see the reaction to the parent. They also use the time for one on one with the parent to see what the parent wants out of the school and what the teacher is teaching in class.
country,
Interesting and never heard of them happening. At least in the US.
I've never heard of this either, does this eliminate any need to meet with you at school? If so then I would think it's worth it, especially if it helps with the teaching of my child.
I worked in a preschool program that required us to do one home visit a year. I'm not really sure what the purpose was, except for what others have said. We also had parent/teacher conferences at school.
