Is there a need for it? Mean in the present, past, future as well.

Unsure on this. Found that in the US its mostly political, especially with abortion, etc along those lines. Instead of etc subjects as well.

My older cousin has talked to me about how feminism was in the 1970's, with women demanding equal rights with men. It sounds to me like it was a cleverly orchestrated plan that was meant to bring about social change. I think the goals were to get women out of the home and into the workforce, and to gain widespread acceptance of abortion.

That's just my opinion. I don't believe we needed it then, now or in the future.
