    Coffee and rats

Do rats not like the smell of coffee? A friend of mine told me that you can use coffee powder to keep rats away from your house. Have you ever tried it?

I haven't tried it, but I do recall hearing this somewhere else. Maybe the scent of coffee is so strong to them that it's a deterrent. I'd like to know if it's true or if it's an old wives tale.

Well that is interesting, if ever, God forbid, I have rats I will keep that in mind. I don't know if it is so much the odor as the taste is pretty acidic.

LOL That's good point. What if the rats become acidic to coffee and don't want to eat anything other than coffee?

Seriously, I have just tried it and it didn't seem to work well. I don't know if it's just because I didn't use it properly.
