Does anyone keep anything inside during the winter, other than herbs? I haven't tried it yet, but I'm wondering if something like, say, a small jalapeno plant might be able to get through the winter on a sunny windowsill. Feasible or no?

I doubt if it will work, unless you put enough lighting for it to be able to survive indoors. Veggies need more light than the usual decorative foliage plants, IMO
