I think there must be machines for it but I am pretty sure they are for commercial use. However, I think that your problem must be that you are tensing up your hands. I can crochet for long periods of time and don't cramp up. Try practicing by making very loose chains until you feel that your hands start to loosen up.
I don't know about a machine but I know you can buy a loom in different shapes and sizes to assist in crocheting and knitting. I have looked into them myself but have never used one.
