    Old toys

Do you remember back in the "olden days" when a simple toy gave you hours of enjoyment and they did not have batteries, bells and whistles unless they were actually a bell and a whistle.

What toy gave you hours of enjoyment and you wish you kids would love it also?

My son loves his hot wheel cars as did I when I was his age. So I am glad that he doesn't need to be entertained with the batteries and all. Their are some toys I wish could "disappear" though that family has bought him!

I think besides a baseball and a bat (which I was most often seen with) my favorite indoor toys were things like Lincoln Logs, puzzles, board games, etc.

I loved scrabble and I still love it. I could play scrabble with my friends or even alone for hours without feeling bored. We can learn much from the game, right?

I love Scrabble as well. My daughter is just to the age where she is ready to play and can have a good time with it. I am pretty excited because I had not played in a long time.

Fresh I know what you mean. I am waiting for my girls to be a little older so we can play the board games that I loved growing up. I tried to get them to play operation but they were not really ready for it. So far, I have only gotten them to play Uno. I used to love Monopoly as well as playing Casino and Rumming with my dad.

I love Monopoly. I believe it's the most played board game in the world. Life would be fantastic if we could collect wealth so easily as we do in the Monopoly game.

I had a "stable" of stick horses that I "rode" all over the woods near the house.... I also had plastic cowboy and indian with horses. Spent many an hour playing with those too... Have fun and stay safe

Monopoly is also my favorite game. I notice there are some websites that allow you to play Monopoly online. I am not sure though whether money is involved in the online game.

Hey, what about chess? It's not a game for children but I love it and I have been playing it since I was 8 or 9. My brother taught me to play chess and I still love the game till now.
