    Greeting cards

I have a friend who is making her own Christmas cards this year. I think that sounds like a great way to send a much more personal card to the people she cares about. Have you ever made your own greeting cards?

I don't like spending money on photos. Therefore, every year, I take a professional photo of the kids and just buy 1 8x10, scan it and make my own cards in the computer. I try to always buy ink when they are on special or with coupons. I also have one block of good paper and not necessarily cardboard or photo paper.

Not often but I have from time to time. I think it's so cool when people can contribute that time. A friend just sent me a homemade Halloween card; it meant a lot.

I have a friend who holds these card making classes. My wife went to one and she loved it. She wants to give it a try. It's pretty expensive to start, buying all the things you need to get started. You are right, the cards are much more personal and sweet.
