    Kids and Hanna Montana

Does anyone have the problem I do with your kids watching Hanna Montana ?
They see that she has a horse so they think why can't they have a horse or she made a great room in the barn why can't they have their own room. They don't seem to care that it's not real and to make it real it costs money.

I do not mind if my kids watch it. They know that it is a television show and not real. They know we can't afford a horse, or a room like that. If they wanna get famous and make that sort of money, cool, other wise, no way. I am just glad the show is over, because she is getting a bit to old to be a role model for young girls. They need role models closer to their own age.

My kids don't watch Hannah Montana. So far, I have been able to keep them away from mainstream TV. Even though they are 8 years old, 95% of the programs they watch are educational. I also tell them that just because it is on TV, it doesn't me that I am going to buy it for them.
