OK, so what is your favorite drink for the holidays? It doesn't have to be alcoholic.... I, however, happen to love spiked egg-nog! You just can't drink too much of it, though, it is very filling (and fattening!).

I always like to have a bottle of sparking wine to drink on Christmas day. It doesn't have to be very alcoholic, in fact, it's better if it isn't as I drink it from morning to evening. It just makes me feel festive!
I love egg-nog. But I am very picky about which one I buy. Some of them just don`t taste very good. And now the prices have gone up so much for it. I don`t like it spiked, just plain. It goes quick in our House because our boys love it too.
We'll always try to have something fun and festive that can appeal to everyone, whether its grape juice and club soda or sparkling apple cider or even 7up with cherry to make it pink all in festive glasses. Then of course they can be spiked for those old enough.
Spiked eggnog is one of those things that I really like, but only want once a year and one glass is enough, so since no one else in the family drinks it, I don't bother to buy it; haven't had any in several years.
I always make like 8 gallons of my special "Coquito" which is the Puertorican eggnog. There are a lot of variations for it, but mine version is very sought after so I always give out some bottles as Christmas gifts. I leave 1/2 gallon unspiked for my non alcohol drinking friends.
I know it isn't a holiday drink, but my favorite drink for the holidays is Pina Colada. I have a friend that makes it for me and gives me a gallon each Christmas. I savour it a glass a day and don't share it with anybody.
Mine would have to be dark rum and coke. I don't drink much hard liquor during the year but it has become a tradition in our family that I have a bottle of rum on Christmas day.
