Our 16 year old is failing.

He just doesn`t seem to care about school at all. He has been in special classes a few times. Also he has been kicked out of a school. We just don`t know how to motivate him to do his work and try. We even tried tutoring. He gets those college papers in the mail so he thinks he can go to college without a diploma. He doesn`t understand that they send them to all high school kids. And you get tested before you can go. Their third grading period ended a few days ago. He has 7 classes and his report card has 5 F`s and 2 D`s.

Have you had him tested for a learning disability? What do his teachers have to say? There are some kids that just don't do well in a regular school setting. Would you consider putting him on a vocational high school?
