Thread: Paying for Christmas

  1. #11
I had a lot of last minute issues this year, medical included so unfortuantly I had to turn to the credit cards for Christmas. I see us being able to pay all of it back off when taxes come back in a couple of weeks so I am not that worried about it and I know everyone appreciated what they did get.

This year was a rough one for us for sure! We had to resort to going to the dollar store, salvation army, and good will for gifts but nobody seemed the wiser of it. I think it is silly to go into debt for a holiday.

My parents use the dollar store for the young kids and it is not like they are going to know the difference! I do not see the point in going into debt or ringing up the credit cards (and then paying interest on that) for Christmas. It has never been a huge focus of our holiday celebration as we focus more on the family time.

No, I'm not good at sewing. I did, however, just buy a new piece of bedding for the dogs. It's called a portable travel bed, and they just love this thing.
