    Space-efficient ways to add weight?

I usually buy tube sand for for extra weight in my pick up. This year I didn't----seemed they were always in the way. Wouldn't you know I got stuck while checking fences! Any other space-efficient ways to add weight?

Think steel or concrete. My brother loads up a pretty good pile of scrap steel in the form of used road grader blade in the back of his plow truck for ballast. Another old friend had greased his truck bed up and poured a 4"-6" slab of concrete in it for ballast (again for plowing.) He set 4 eye bolts in the concrete so he can hook up a chain winch and lift the whole chunk out in the summer and load it back in for winter. It added some serious weight, and left the bed of the truck pretty usable, just a few inches shallower.
