I think that all hobbies could become addictive and they would fall into your description of bad hobbies. That is the problem with addictive personalities. When they start doing something they like, they become obsessed with buying more stuff and spending more time perfecting their hobby. I have seen my friend buying so much stuff for scrapbooking that I can't even imagine how much money she has spent already.
