Savings Bonds

Does anyone ever still buy savings bonds as investments anymore? Have you ever done so? Is it worth it or is it unreliable?

It's totally reliable---that's one of the big pluses for them. I did it years ago when I was in the military before I knew anything about investing. It's a good way to start until you figure out other things that give you a bigger return.
