    Dog beds and blankets

This is the time of year I catch up on sewing and mending projects that are continually collecting. My current project is dog bed covers and dog blankets. Should be easy. Ever make any?

No, I'm not good at sewing. I did, however, just buy a new piece of bedding for the dogs. It's called a portable travel bed, and they just love this thing.

What a great idea! I wish we could do the same here, but we can't. I will be spending the evening with my hubby and children and that is enough for me. I am thankful I have them and we can spend the family quality time together.

If you've made a duvet cover or pillow covers it should be pretty easy for you; we bought our dogs bed and the covers are pretty derable in fact the bed wore out before the cover did.

I did make a duvet cover for the first time last year for a queen size bed. I couldn't find a ready-made one I liked or fabric in the fabric store, but I found some great drapery panels to use (on sale, no less!)
