    If you had a choice?

If you had a choice would you live in a populated area of the country or would you live out in an area with miles between you and your nearest neighbor?

Somewhere in between. The wife and I are in our 60's and while we'd like to have some privacy we also don't want to be in the middle of nowhere in case of medical emergency, etc. A quarter mile or so would be sufficient so we could skinny dip in the pool or whatever without nosey neighbors gawking at us.

I would live in the later of the two. I love living in the country and having a peace and quiet time. I have lived in the city and it is just not for me.

I grew up in the country, but I love all the amenities a city has to offer so I would choose the city. I love the shopping, music and theater that you just don't get in the country.

I'd prefer way out in the country, but although we lived 20 miles from town for 8 years, we had neighbors who became very close friends only about 1,200 feet from our house. And that was OK. However, we had to move back to town for family reasons 8 years ago and now, at our age and with our health, I reckon we'll be here the rest of our lives, and that's not really bad.

Hmm is this remote enough. My house. Allthe roads in this picture are dirt.
