Where do you store the router bits? Not interested in the routers, just the bits.

One of my first router projects was a wooden box for the bits. White birch. Metal corners. Foam padding. Nothing's too good for my routers and bits.
Pete
Do you keep this box in the local banks safety deposit section?
Egon
No, but it's guarded by four dogs!

Now on the serious side:
Are there any brand router bits, 1/4 in. , that you prefer?
My router is a 30+ year old Black and Decker.
Thanks Pete.
Egon
I detest cheap bits, so will avoid at any cost stuff like Vermont American (an insult to this great state!), CarbTech, Freud and the like. I used to like Jesada bits and am still very impressed by them, but my current favorite is Whiteside. You spend a little more, but save a lot of wood.

Thanks Pete.

I've also had good luck with the Whiteside bits. Mine came from the local Woodcraft store.

Hey! Aren't you supposed to be working?
Egon,
I saw your question about router bits and thought you may be interested in this Router Bit Matchup . They reviewed 17 bits and not surprisingly, Whiteside came out on top. Hope it helps!

Hey; Thanks.
Now to go find a balaclava and a bank.
