Here is a view of the inside after the fix.
This picture shows how nicely the case closes in that corner now. It turned out even better than I had hoped.
Front view of case while it it closed.

Here is the tool pallets that I chose to go in the case. The upper pallet is hinged and opens up, they called it winged.
Here it is with the upper pallet opened up.
Here is the last picture showing the two cases together. This should make my trip through the airport much easier. There will be some pretty important people at the jobsite and I didn't want to have all my tools just thrown in a regular suitcase. I didn't have any regular suitcases anyway so I had to buy something to put the tools in. As for cost I couldn't be happier. I talked them into selling me both cases for $200 out the door. They wrote it up as $140 for the Craftsman and $60 for the Klein. This was a cash price, had I paid by credit card it would have been $230. For $30 I gladly took a ride down the road to the ATM machine. The fix took me less than an hour and that included getting my tools out and taking the pictures. Just to buy the one case from Sears it would have cost me over $300 with tax and shipping.
Great job, and documentation too!
I just throw the tools I need for a particular job into one of the wide mouth tool bags. But then I'm not a pro, nor carrying them through an airport.

Hey! Aren't you supposed to be working?
That is SUCH a cool setup! I travel with two big hard cases as well, one has the infrared camera and one has all of the support gear. In CA I NEVER turned my back on those cases,....ever. If I had to eat lunch they went with me. Theft is absolutely a given so be careful.
