    Partner 85 Chain Saw

I have a large older chain saw that is a Partner brand, model 85. Does anyone know where I can get parts for it?

    Thanks

I don't know, but I have a Partner R17! Looking for a larger bar to do some milling with it.

I'm thinking milling too, but I don't know if the saw is big enough. It sure weighs alot, but I don't know if that directly relates to milling ability.

It is best to mill with one hp per tooth in the wood at any one time. Chain pitch will tell you how many teeth there are in a given length. I'd expect for millin' big logs you'd need an engine in excess of 100 cc displacement. Hardwoods require more power than soft.

Well, the R17 comes up short there! Back to the drawing board, maybe chainsaw winch?
