need help with name

So far my column has been accepted for newspapers in Highlands, Hardee, Desoto, Polk, Orange, Lee, Baker, Bradford and Alachua Counties. The latest one is on the Florida/Georgia border. The closer I creep toward Georgia, the less satisfied I am with the name. It's called Farm tales right now. Yuck. Can anyone think of a new more catchy name? Something humorous? I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.

Since a lot of the stories are about animals, how 'bout "Tails" from the Funny Farm. Ha!

Good LORD Egon, were you just sitting there waiting for me to ask that question! Lol! I like them ALL but I especially like What Now, Brown Cow? And Makin' Bacon. Here are some other suggestions. I think a reference to farming without the word farm in it would go over better, even though I am tempted to go with the word 'tails', Rich, and Gary, I'm a little afraid to used the actual word funny because it's almost like a challenge. What if they don't think it's funny?

Well it might be funny to folks who live the life, but to those who mow their grass with a mower that's plugged in to an electric outlet, it might just be plain weird. Know what I mean, jelly bean?

So true. Hilarious to those of us who've lived it, and probably incomprehensible to some city folks, but then you can't please everyone with anything.

The funniest book I ever read (and still have, by the way) is A Fine and Pleasant Misery by Patrick F. McManus. When I first read it many years ago, I sat in the den reading that book and laughed until I had tears in my eyes and my wife and daughters thought I was crazy (they may have been right), but I lived most of what he was writing about and they hadn't. Since then, I've bought just about all his books and there are many good stories in all of them, but none quite so good as that first one.

He's a WONDERFUL writer. I plan to start a library soon and he's going to be one of the first authors I focus on.
