AC won\'t work in my F-150 anymore?

I don't know squat about Air conditioning so maybe you guys here can help me. I have a 1998 F-150 XLT 4x4 with the 4.6. My AC started fading in and out last year where some times it would blow warm air for a few minutes then cold again. Now it will only blow warm air. Is this something simple I can fix? Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like you have a small leak. Since it is unlikely you will have access to either a refrigerant reclamation unit, or a leak detector, you are best off taking it to a reputable a/c shop, your fully equipped independant shop, or the dealer.

A/C repairs are one of the reasons I highly reccomend extended warranties.

My extended warranty ran out at 100k miles. I have 113k on her right now so I really can't complain as this is the first real problem. I will look it over and talk to some people I know who work at shops and see if they are capable of helping. If not then it is off to the big buck store where she came from

    But it is all good
