Egon,
if you dont mind my asking. How big is that board? Is you bandsaw maxed out? What type of bandsaw are you running?
Thanks,
Mark
14 in. three speed king bandsaw with an extension. Pretty well maxed out at what the picture shows but if I switched to 220 It would do quite a bit better. Only 1 HP motor. Probably cutting 10 in or so.
105 in. x 3/4 in x 3 teeth per inch blade.

How long does the chain (on the chainsaw) last between sharpenings???

I am impressed and envious of those with the artistic talent, skills and time to do woodworking. It must give you a great sense of accomplishment to create something that will last for generations.
I tried woodworking once but my creations only last as long as it took to get them in the kindling box.
I am Too. You should see the bags of sawdust, err mulch, I produce. Next tuesday a woodburning insert will be installed in our fireplace to accomadate my main product.

Egon,
Funny......
Based on your posts I suspect you are just being modest. I bet there are many that know you who would say you are an artist.
Though I have no talent or skill in working with wood I imagine its very rewarding. I am always impressed with well made wood furniture created by a true craftsman.
