93 GMC PU with a short

MY Dad has a 93 GMC 1500 with a short to the battery. I have been able to localize it to the curtsy fuse and been able to eliminate some of the circuits. I don't have a wiring diagram. I'm now stuck without one or some ideas on how to proceed without a diagram. Ideas? Tnx, JimM

Your nearest public library may have Chilton manuals and the like. Ours does, and it sure has been handy for me over the years.
