    Re: Recomendation on Brake Controllers

Installed the prodigy last night in the F350, simple process with the specific harness. But unlike the Yukon that I put the Sentinel in, I had to install two 30amp fuses for the brake power and relays for the backup light and battery charge functions. I dont have trailer back up lights but the camper does have a battery being used in transit for a fridge.

I bought the truck used and found the Ford trailer brake kit package in the glove box with the fuses, relays and underdash pigtail. It was good to see that the previous owner did not tow anything heavy enough to need a brake controller.
Then again he could have towed a big boat with surge brakes.

Anyway, I won't know how well it works for acouple weeks

Two items I did not expect to see were a instructional mini dvd and a "holster" which is mounted on the I/P for the controller to snap out of when not in use with a protective bag for the unit to be stored in when not being used.

The DVD is new since I bought mine 18 months ago.
