    Positive Placement Nailer

Just used my new Hitachi Positive Placement Nailer...

All I can say is wow. I dont mind doing joist hangers and hurricane straps now.
I did get the shorter magazine, which is nice to get in tight places, but needs to be reloaded often.
Nice tool. Hard to get motivated to buy it cause of the price, but I'm glad I have it now.

ok .... what does "easy to use fastener placement" mean?

I haven't had any problems with blowing mails thru hurricane straps and rafter straps with my Bostich ...
    it's a shame that common sense isn't

Basicaly the nail tip extends out a bit allowing for alignment with the joist hanger or strap holes.
The nails are heat treated so they are no likely to bend. They also sell them in a hot dipped galvanized so for use with treated lumber.

interesting idea .... but doesn't that make the safety interlock somewhat moot?
I guess if one were in construction and used a nailer daily, this would certainly be a useful tool.

It does have a safety interlock, the travel on it is very little though.
