    A few yrs. back I put Monroe Sensatrac on a K1500 and was well satisfied.

    I just did the shocks on my Isuzu Trooper ( 1995 ) and I agree with the posters here...use some PB blaster ahead of time to loosen the rust around the nuts and have some air tools handy. Don't jack up the rear axle as the rear axle will be hanging on the shocks and with a pickup you most likely have enough room to work on them without jacking it anyhow, I always have. Backing the truck up on some ramps helps as well. The bottom shock bolts are usually easy to do as you have good access to them, the top ones are the ones that really are a pain.
