Hello,
Anyone have any suggestions on what trees would be good to plant on a very gravely chunk of land? I'm thinking small seedlings so not much digging needs to be done. Preferably trees native to Wisconsin.
Thanks

I would think cedars would be a nice touch for starters

I would agree that the best thing to do is look around you. There are several pines that do well in rocky soil, but you want something you know will grow in your area. There must be some land with that soil type in your area. In fact you might be able to ask the land owner if you could take some "seedlings" that might be growing up uder his tress.
